Mr. Edwards was born on November 6, 1951 in Johnston County to the late Vernon and Mildred Carter Edwards. He retired from the NC Department of Labor.
Surviving are his sisters, Jessie Eason from Swansboro and Linda Brannan from Selma. Several nieces and nephews.
