Robert Turner “Bobby” Talton, age 90, of Selma passed away on April 30, 2017. Born in Johnston County on September 17, 1926, he was the son of the late Charles Ralph and Nelia Faison Talton. His wife was the late Joyce Wiggs Talton. Bobby was a US Navy veteran of World War II and was a driver for Griggs Equipment Company. He was an avid golfer and fisherman.
A memorial service will be held on Wednesday, May 3, at 2:00 PM in the chapel of Parrish Funeral Home in Selma.
Surviving are his children, Mary Joyce Blackley and husband Harry of Selma; Robert T. Talton, Jr. and wife Jane of Rockingham; grandchildren Robert Talton III, Jason Talton, Clint Talton and Brian Blackley; and nine great grandchildren.
The family will receive friend at the funeral home Wednesday from 1-2 PM.
