Ronald “Wayne” Boykin, 58, died unexpectedly at his home on February 6, 2020. Wayne was born on September 12, 1961, in Wake County to the late Elbert and Sylvia Boykin. He graduated from Garner Senior High School in 1979. He started his career with Winn Dixie; however, the past 20 plus years he has been employed as an Assistant Manager with Food Lion, where he was respected and loved by many. He was the person that could light up any room with his smile and sense of humor. He was preceded in death by his brother, Glenn Boykin.
Wayne was an amazing father to his two daughters, Melodi and Marley, both of whom he was extremely proud of. He is also survived by his fiance’ Billie and her children; Kala, Bubba, Emalee, and Tommy, and her grandchildren; Christopher and Noa, who he loved like his own; sister Lisa Boykin Roberts; as well as several nieces and nephews.
His family has chosen to honor his personal request and not have a formal service.
