Benson, NC: Mr. Ronnie Gene Jernigan, age 67, of 2507 Holly Grove Rd died Wednesday at his residence. Funeral Services will be 11:00 AM Saturday at the Rose & Graham Funeral Home Chapel, Benson. Officiating will be Rev. Uncle Edwin Norris. Burial will follow in Banner Chapel Advent Christian Church Cemetery.
Mr. Jernigan was born on May 14, 1949 in Harnett County to the late Bradley E. and Annie Mae Dunn Jernigan. He was also preceded in death by his brothers and sisters, Bobby Ray Jernigan, Janie Mitchell, Sherrill Jernigan, Larry Jernigan, Harry Jernigan. Mr. Jernigan and brother, Sherrill were co-owners and operators of Jernigan Garage, Body Shop and Wrecker Service. He also enjoyed driving his Copart rollback in his later years.
Surviving are wife of 45 years, Carol T. Jernigan of Benson; children and spouses, Angela J. Rhodes and husband, Woody, Genia J. Lynn and husband, Paul of Benson; grandchildren, Ronnie James (R.J.) Johnson and Elidia Mora, Brett and Anna Johnson, Valerie Rhodes, Christian Rhodes, Niki Johnson, Ashlee Rhodes, Brian Lynn, Travis Eason and Morgan Lee, Shaina Lynn and LeAnna Eason; twin sister, Bonnie Parker and husband, Nazro of Benson, sister, Gloria Byrd and husband, Larry of Dunn; sisters-in-law and brother-in-law, Janice Beasley, Kaye and Linwood Capps all of Dunn and Faye Norris of Four Oaks; several nieces and nephews.
The family will receive friends at Rose & Graham Funeral Home in Benson from 6:00PM to 8:00PM Friday other times at the home.
