Benson, NC: Mr. Ronnie Sherrill Moore, age 68, of 2583 Wood’s Crossroads Road died Sunday at SECU Hospice Home in Smithfield. Funeral services will be 11:00AM Wednesday at Rose & Graham Funeral Chapel. Officiating will be Rev. Michael Bassett, Rev. Scott Johnson, and Mr. Mike Warren. Burial will follow in Banner Chapel Advent Christian Church Cemetery with full military honors.
Mr. Moore was born on May 10, 1949, in Johnston County to the late William Sherrill and Jackie Porter Moore. He was also preceded in death by his wife, Gwen Baker Moore; son, Staff Sgt. William Clint Moore; and brother, Randy S. Moore. Mr. Moore served in the U. S. Marines and retired from the U. S. Army after 20 years of service. He was a member of Holly Grove Advent Christian Church and American Legion Banner Post 109.
He is survived by a daughter, Leanne Moore of Benson; grandson, Thomas Clint Benson; sister & brother-in-law, Jean M. & Keith Barefoot of Benson; brother & sister-in-law, Rickie G. & Winifred Moore of Benson; special friend, Lynne Moore of Benson; aunt and uncles; and several nieces, nephews, and cousins.
The family will receive friends at Rose & Graham Funeral Home from 6:00PM to 8:00PM Tuesday.
