Selma – Rosa Margaret Brady Oliver, age 88, died Sunday, January 28, 2018 in Autumn Home Care in Selma. Born February 4, 1929 in Johnston County she was a daughter of the late Luther and Rachel Tyner Brady. She was preceded in death by her husband, Carl Vance Oliver; sister, Delane Pickel. Rosa was a member of Tee’s Chapel Free Will Baptist Church in Brogden. She was also a charter member of the Ladies Auxiliary at the Pine Level Fire Department, the Ladies Auxiliary of the Pine Level American Legion Post 405, and Ladies Auxiliary of the Pine Level VFW. She loved her Sunday School class at Pine Level OFWB Church.
Funeral services will be conducted at 11:00 a.m. Tuesday, January 30, 2018 in the chapel of Parrish Funeral Home with Rev. Dennis Pollock officiating. Burial will follow in Princeton Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 10:00 – 11:00 a.m. Tuesday just prior to the service.
Surviving are her sons, Dwight Oliver and wife Jill of Oriental, and Vance Oliver and wife Janet of Wilmington; daughter, Savannah Lukaszewski of Selma; brother, J.R. Brady of Goldsboro; sister, Joyce Evans of Pine Level; four grandchildren; five great grandchildren.
