Benson, NC: Mrs. Rosie “Rose” Mae Price Jernigan, age 76, of 2288 of Woods Crossroads Road died Thursday at Wake Medical Center in Raleigh. Funeral Service will be 3:00 PM Sunday at Rose & Graham Funeral Home Chapel in Benson. Officiating will be Revs. Michael Hall and C.H. Lee. Burial will follow in Banners Chapel Advent Christian Church Cemetery in Benson.
Mrs. Jernigan was born September 30, 1941 in Wake County to the late Charlie and Reba Molden Price. She was also preceded in death by her infant daughter, Connie Frances Denning and brother, Artis Price. Mrs. Jernigan retired from Channel Master and was a member of Beulah Baptist Church, Benson.
Surviving are husband of 51 years, L.C. Jernigan; children and spouses, Donnie and Debbie Jernigan of Benson, Doug and Lisa Denning of Four Oaks, Diane Baker of Raleigh and Nancy “Tennie” and Donnie Barefoot of Dunn; eight grandchildren; four great grandchildren; brothers and sisters-in-law, Charles and Lillie Price, Cecil and Barbara Price all of Willow Spring, Thomas and Cathy Price of Benson; sister and brother-in-law, Leona and Harold Bowden of Linden; several nieces and nephews.
The family will receive friends Saturday 6:00PM – 8:00PM at Rose and Graham Funeral Home in Benson and other times at the home.
Flowers are welcomed; however, memorials may be made to Beulah Baptist Church, 3140 NC 242, Benson, NC 27504.
