Roy Allen Williams went home to be with his Lord and Savior on August 19, 2018. He was born in Sampson County on July 6th, 1937 to Ernest B and Ometa Barefoot Williams. He was pre-decreased by his wife Marian Ennis Williams, Brother James Ernest and step son Tony Sawyer. He is survived by his wife Jean Sawyer Williams, his sons Curtis and wife Ardine, Craig and wife Kim, Brent and wife Tomesia , step daughter Susan and husband Craig Lehner, step son Kenny Sawyer and wife Lori, seven grandchildren and three step grandchildren.
Roy was an active member of the First Baptist Church, Smithfield, serving as a Sunday school teacher, working with the Ramp Builders, a volunteer group who built ramps for the needy and went on several mission trips. He was a lifetime member of Palmyra Masonic Lodge No. 147 in Dunn and self-employed as Painting and Wallpaper Contractor for twenty years. Roy was also a member of Smithfield Chapter 121 Order of the Eastern Star.

Funeral services will be held Thursday , August 23rd at Parrish Funeral Home, Selma at 6pm , Visitation at 5pm. Burial Friday August 24th, 11 am at Lee-Johnson Cemetery, Hwy 96.
