Ruby Bridgers Pittman, age 97, died Tuesday morning at her home. Born February 18, 1924 in Johnston County to the late Willie Ralph and Donnie Warrick Bridgers, she was the widow of Avery Winston “Buck” Pittman, who died March 21, 2013.
Ruby began her career as a clerk with the Town of Selma and later went to work as a teller with BB&T. Following her retirement, she worked part-time with Kenly Saving Bank.
A private graveside was held at 11:00 am on Friday September 3, 2021 in the Branch Chapel Free Will Baptist Church Cemetery.
Surviving are several nieces, nephews and special caregivers.
