SMITHFILED – Sandra Long O’Berry, age 70, died Friday morning, May 18, 2018 in the SECU Hospice House. Born November 14, 1947 in Nashville, TN to Virie Eugene “V.E.” Long of Durham and the late Muriel Lee Tolleson Long, she was the widow of Edward Foushee “Ed” O’Berry, III, who died March 22, 2018. Sandra began her career as a public school teacher in Princeton and taught in numerous Johnston County schools before retiring from Smithfield Elementary.
A private service is planned for a later date.
Surviving in addition, to her father, are her daughter, Lee Pruette, her husband Blair and their son Lander all of Cary and a brother Gene Long and his wife Diane of Durham.
In lieu of flowers, the family asks that memorial contributions be made to the SECU Hospice House, P. O. Box 1376, Smithfield, NC 27577.
