Sandra Lynn Pilkington, age 74, formerly of Selma, NC, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, December 1, 2021 surrounded by her family. She was a graduate of Selma High school. Sandra is preceded in death by her beloved husband, Thomas William Pilkington, her parents Charles Edward Pilkington and Laura Leoma Jones Pilkington and her sister Susan Pilkington Baker.
There was nothing more important to Sandra than her family. She cherished the special times spent together talking, laughing and sharing a meal.
She is survived by her children, Lynne Pilkington Mozingo and Thomas Edward Pilkington (Eve). She adored her grandchildren, Brandon Wayne Mozingo (Ashly) and Luke Thomas Pilkington as well as her great-granddaughter Miranda Elizabeth Mozingo. She will be greatly missed by her nephew Bobby Steve Grice, Jr (Tonya) and sister-in-law Brenda Pilkington Allen and brother-in-laws Wayne Pilkington (Wanda) and Louis Pilkington along with many cousins.
The family would like to express our sincerest thanks for the kindness and compassion given by the nursing team at Johnston Health and Smithfield Manor. We also would like to especially thank Albert and Gloria Sykes, John and Connie Bedford and Brenda Liles for their assistance and devotion to Sandra.
