Benson, NC: Mrs. Sandra “Sandy” Elaine Barnhart Lockamy, age 76, of South Dunn Street died Monday at her daughter’s residence in Benson. Funeral Service will be held 3:00PM Thursday at Benson Pentecostal Free Will Baptist Church. Officiating will be Rev. Glenn McCullen, Mr. Davey Stephenson and Dr. Zane Lapinskes. Burial will follow in Hodges Chapel Church Cemetery, Benson.
Mrs. Lockamy was born in Monroe County, New York on February 6, 1942 to the late Authur Lewellen and Violet Carr Barnhart Hirsch. She was also preceded in death by her son, Marvin Wade “Billy” West, Jr. Mrs. Lockamy was an assistant manager for Jenny’s Sweet Creations and member of Benson PFWB Church.
Surviving are daughters and sons-in-law, Jenny and Charles Campbell and Susie and Ronald Wallace all of Benson; granddaughter and husband, Heather and Joey Barefoot of Willow Springs; great grandson, Braxton Barefoot; sisters, Lucille Noegel of Starke, FL and Bonnie O’Neill of Rochester, NY; brothers, Gary Barnhart and Gerald Barnhart both of Rochester, NY; daughter-in-law, Melanie West of Raleigh; several special nieces and nephews.
Family will receive friends 6:00PM – 8:00PM Wednesday at Rose & Graham Funeral Home in Benson and other times at the home of Jenny and Charles Campbell, 600 West Harnett Street, Benson, NC.
