    Fremont-Seth Keene, Jr., 79, passed away Saturday, July 20, 2019 at Barbour Court Nursing & Rehab in Smithfield. Born in Johnston County on January 7, 1940, he was the son of the late Seth Keene, Sr. and Ethel Barnes Keene.
    Seth worked for Brown & Root Construction Company. He was a member of Piney Grove Free Will Baptist Church in Four Oaks.
    A graveside service to celebrate his life will be held Tuesday, July 23, 2019 at 11:00 a.m. at Holly Springs Free Will Baptist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends following the service at the cemetery and at other times at the home.
    Seth is survived by his wife, Linda Rachel Keene; daughters, Loretta Watson (Steve), Crissy Evans (Darrell); son, Daniel Sullivan, Jr. (Lynette); nine grandchildren, one great-grandchild; a brother, James Franklin Keene; a sister, Ethel Louise Beasley (Tom); several nieces and nephews; and four step-children and their families.
