Seth was born on Feb. 18, 1962, to Rose and Ted Granrath, in Elmhurst, IL. When he was seven he lived with his foster family in Chicago and later was adopted in 1972 by Roger and Nancy Wentzel. The family moved to Michigan, and then Louisville, KY where Seth graduated from Eastern High School, and then joined the military. He served for ten years, stationed in Korea, Germany, and worked as a Blackdown Helicopter mechanic at Ft. Campbell, KY. He moved to NC and joined Tri City Insulation where he worked up until his death. Seth is survived by his mother, Nancy Wentzel, two sisters, Jackie Sims of Sacramento, CA, and Natalie Beyer of Nashville, TN, a brother, John Wentzel, of Louisville, KY. And his birth sister, Jae Granrath or Elmhurst, IL.
A memorial service is being held at the Parrish Funeral Home in Selma, NC, at 2:00pm on November 2.
