Shirley “Joyce” Mayo Lewis, age 71, of Kenly, passed away at her home on October 22, 2020. Born in Johnston County on March 22, 1949, she was the daughter of the late Dennis and Julia Harrell Mayo. Joyce was preceded in death by her husband Charles D. Lewis and her son Charles D. Lewis, Jr. She was a member of the Wilsons Mills Church of God.
A visitation will be held on Monday morning at 10 AM followed by funeral services at 11 am in the Wilsons Mills Church of God, 4869 Wilsons Mills Rd., Clayton, NC. Burial will follow in the Price Cemetery in Pine Level. For those unable to attend, the service will be live streamed on the church website, www.wilsonsmillschurchofgod.org.
Surviving are a sister, Carolyn Mitchell of Tarboro; and many nieces, nephews and friends.
