SELMA – Shirley Ruth Duncan Gamlin, age 87, formerly of East St. Louis, IL, died Thursday, July 27, 2017 in UNC Johnston Health in Smithfield. Born August 27, 1929 in St Clair County, IL to the late Wilbur Leo and Florence Fredricka Schmulbach Duncan she was preceded in death by a daughter, Donna M. Heath. Shirley was a member of St Ann Catholic Church where she was active in the Ladies Guild.
A Funeral Mass will be conducted at 10:00 a.m. Monday, July 31, 2017 in St. Ann Catholic Church. A graveside service will be conducted at 10:00 a.m. Wednesday, August 2, 2017 in Lake View Memorial Gardens in Fairview Heights, IL. Flowers gratefully declined.
Surviving are her husband, Robert C. “Bob” Gamlin; son, Steve Gamlin and wife Kim of Smithfield; daughters, Diane Vigrass of North Tonawanda, NY and Debbi Boggero and husband Jim of Abbeville, SC; three grandchildren, Nicole MacClellan, Molly Vigrass and Blake Heath and four great grandchildren, Ryan and Madison MacClellan and Sam and Olivia Heath.
