Sonja Newsome Johnson, 80, of Johnston County passed away at Barbour Court Nursing and Rehab on Wednesday, January 9, 2019. She was born June 13, 1938 to the late Robert Earl Newsome and Thelma Pauline Braswell Newsome. Mrs. Johnson was a member of Hephzibah Baptist Church in Princeton.
The family will receive friends on Saturday, January 12, 2019 from 1:00 pm until 2:00 pm at Casey Funeral Home and Cremations Chapel.
She is survived by a son, Dan Johnson of Louisburg; 2 grandchildren, Kimberly Sue Friddle and Daniel Thomas Johnson; 2 great grandchildren, William Franklin Friddle, IV., and Emma Beatrice Friddle.
