A mighty oak fell in God’s Forest today. This oak had many bows and was deeply rooted. God was there to catch this mighty oak and upon the embrace, he simply said, “job well done.” This was no ordinary oak.
Susan Hill Peedin, age 60, died Thursday morning at her home, surrounded by her family. Born August 14, 1961 in Wayne County, she was a daughter of the late, James Edward and Ruth Woodard Hill. She was preceded in death by sisters, Faye Hill Capps and husband Ray, Jean Hill Hartley and husband Herbert; brothers, Charles Hill, Harold Hill, Max Hill and Kent Hill and sisters-in-law, Judy Hill and Cindy Hill. Susan was a member of Antioch Presbyterian Church.
The family will receive friends Saturday, November 13, 2021 from 1:00 – 2:00 p.m. with a funeral service at 2:00 p.m. in the chapel of Parrish Funeral Home. Burial will follow in the Princeton Cemetery.
Surviving are her husband, Larry A. Peedin, his children, Brittany Barefoot (Ross) and daughters, Ava, Abi and Allie Ross of Dunn, Kristina McSwain (Justin) and daughters, Hayden and Jenna of Monroe and Austin A. Peedin of Goldsboro; sisters, Carol Gerencser (Steve), Linda Morris (Karl) and Donna Keen (Buddy); brothers, Ronnie Hill (Vickie), Olin Hill (Marion) and Ricky Hill; sisters-in-law, Pam Hill, Carol Hill, Evelyn Hill and Shari Robinson and many nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, the family asks that memorial contributions be made to Antioch Presbyterian Church, 2306 Old Smithfield Rd, Goldsboro, NC 27530, Muscular Dystrophy Association or American Cancer Society.
