Sybil Pearce Snipes, 76, of Princeton passed away at the Brian Center of Goldsboro Wednesday morning, February 22, 2017. She was born October 24, 1940 to the late Jarvis Vester Pearce and Mattie Lucille Evans Pearce. She was preceded in death by her husband, Wilbert Thurman Snipes, brother, Ashworth Pearce and sister, Peggy Jones. Funeral services will be held in Casey Funeral Home Chapel on Thursday, February 23, 2017 at 7:00 pm with the Reverend Thomas V. Pearce and the Reverend Johnny DiCorte officiating. The burial will take place at 1:00 pm on Friday, February 24, 2017 in Princeton Cemetery.
She is survived by a daughter and son-in-law, Karen and Timmy Gerrell of Princeton; brothers and sisters-in-law, Thomas Pearce and wife, Lisa of Clayton, Freddy Pearce of Princeton, and Bernie Pearce and wife, Judy of Selma; sisters and brother-in-law, Sylvia Thompson and husband, J. A. of Smithfield, and Barbara McClenny of Chester, Virginia; 2 Grandchildren, Daniel Gerrell and wife, Brooke and Megan Gerrell; 2 Great Grandchildren, Paisley and Maxton Gerrell.
The family will receive friends from 5:30 pm until 7:00 pm on Thursday, February 23, 2017 in Casey Funeral Home Chapel. At all other times the family will be meeting at the home of Karen and Timmy Gerrell at 790 Gurley Mill Road, Princeton, NC 27569.
