Sylvia Cooper Whitfield, 83, passed away on Tuesday, March 31, 2020 at her home in Gibsonville, NC where she lived with her son, Bill. She was born in Wilson County on November 21, 1936 to the late Elmer Cooper and Ethelene Boswell Cooper. She was also preceded in death by her husband, William Carlton Whitfield and a brother, Jerry Cooper.
A graveside service will be held on Friday, April 3, 2020 at 11:00 am in Princeton Cemetery with the Reverend Jimmy Whitfield officiating.
She is survived by her son, Bill Whitfield and his wife, Beth of Gibsonville; granddaughter, Lexie Whitfield; and a brother, Bobby Cooper.
