Benson, NC: Mrs. Tammy Johnson Byrd, age 54, of 7258 Elevation Rd. passed away Tuesday at her residence after a courageous battle with cancer. Funeral Services will be held 2:00PM Saturday at Piney Grove Chapel Baptist Church, Angier, NC. Officiating will be Rev. Timmy Blair. Burial will follow in Johnson Family Cemetery, Angier, NC.
Mrs. Byrd was born on December 14, 1962 in Harnett County to Tim and Martha Garner Johnson of Angier, NC. She owned and operated Kidsville Childcare Center, Angier and was also a member of Piney Grove Chapel Baptist Church.
Survivors in addition to her parents are husband of thirty-three years, Chris Byrd; son & daughter-in-law, Timothy Bradley and Jamie Byrd of Benson; daughter, Alexandria Brooke Byrd of Benson; grandson, Charles Rhett Byrd; sisters & brothers-in-law, Lynn and Dewitt Hardee of Benson, Sheila and Mike Capps of Benson, Jennifer and Joey Smith of Angier; many nieces and nephews.
The family will receive friends 6:00PM – 8:00PM Friday at Piney Grove Chapel Baptist Church, 4440 A Piney Grove Rd, Angier, NC 27501 and other times at the home.
Flowers are welcomed; however, memorials may be sent to the Cancer Society of ones choice.
