Tara Nicole McCrae was born on January 3, 1984 in Smithfield, NC to Brenda Faye Davis and David Glenn Hines. Tara departed this earthly life on August 14, 2018 at Wake Med Hospital. She was preceded in death by her grandmother who affectionately called her Fatty Bread. Tara was raised in a loving home with her grandmother who instilled in her the importance of family sticking together no matter what the circumstances were. Tara would always tell her family members she loved them when she saw them or when she spoke to them on the phone.
Tara leaves to cherish her memories: her life partner of 13 years, Alex; her mother, Brenda; her father, Glenn; her brother, Michael; her sister, Kim; three aunts, Shirley Holder (Arlander), Rebecca Lassiter (James), and Maybelle Hines (Raeford); two uncles, Thomas McCray and Linwood McCray; two nephews, Aiden McCray and Lucus McCray; one niece, Jessica McCray; and a host of cousins, other relatives, and close special friends. “We Love You Fatty Bread!”
