SMITHFIELD – Tavares Shabriel Bethea, age 38, died Sunday, June 25, 2017 in the SECU Hospice House in Smithfield. Born November 1, 1978 in Johnston County, he is the son of Deborah Bethea of Smithfield. Tavares was a forklift operator with Pergo Flooring. He was a loving father and devoted husband who enjoyed fishing whenever he had an opportunity.
A funeral service will be conducted at 2:00 p.m. Saturday in the chapel of Parrish Funeral Home with the Rev. Thomas Asta officiating. The family will receive friends Friday from 6:00 – 8:00 p.m. at the funeral home.
Surviving, in addition to his mother, are his wife, Kimberly Hill Bethea; sons, Knekolas Bethea and Khristian Bethea, and a daughter, Talia Bethea all of the home.
