Ted Franklin Smith, 65, of Lucama, passed away on Saturday, May 29, 2021 at Sentara Albemarle Medical Center in Elizabeth City. He was born in Lenoir County on October 4, 1955 to Dorothy Sutton English and the late Harvey Simpson Smith.
In addition to his mother, Ted is survived by his sister, Patty Cowell of Lucama; nieces, Tammy Layman, Dorothy Lucas-Wade, Crystal Cowell Garrison; and 11 great nieces and nephews and great-great nieces and nephews and their families.
A graveside service will be held at 11:00am on Thursday, June 3, 2021 at Princeton Cemetery with Reverend Kelley Smart officiating.
