Thelbert Edward “Ed” Dixon, age 87, went to be with his Lord and Savior on Thursday, November 4, 2021 surrounded by his loving family. He was born on October 14, 1934 to the late Thelbert Dixon and Ruby Inez Starling Dixon. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a grandson, Steven Dixon.
Funeral services will be conducted at 7:00 p.m. Saturday evening, November 6, 2021 in the chapel of Parrish Funeral Home with Rev. Steve Singleton officiating. The family will receive friends from 6:00 – 7:00 p.m. Saturday just prior to the service at the funeral home. A graveside service will conducted at 2:00 p.m. Sunday in Kenly Cemetery.
He is survived by his wife of 64 years, Thelma Dixon; two sons, Jimmie Edward Dixon and fiancée Tammy Knott of Virginia and Edgar L. Dixon and wife Martha of Kenly; grandchildren, Eddie Dixon and Alexia Dixon; great grandchildren, Ryan Ward, Dustin Dixon and Steven Dixon; and great great grandchildren, Mason, Ayden, Dillon, Aubrey, Ryleigh, and Brennon.
