Four Oaks, NC: Mr. Thomas “Tommy” Robert Rhodes age 70, of 6227 US 701 South, Four Oaks, died Thursday, May 04, 2017 on his farm in Four Oaks. Funeral Services will be 3:00PM Sunday at Rose & Graham Funeral Chapel, Four Oaks. Officiating will be Rev. Freddy Wayne Langston. Burial will follow in Antioch United Methodist Church Cemetery, Four Oaks, NC.
Mr. Rhodes was born in Johnston County on March 1, 1947 to the late Thomas Alford Rhodes and Lola Mae Snead Rhodes of Smithfield. Mr. Rhodes was a farmer and veteran of the National Guard. Mr. Rhodes was a member of the American Legion Banner Post 109 for 46 years. Mr. Rhodes was a member of Cornerstone Baptist Church. His loving dog Buddy was a true companion even until Mr. Rhodes passing.
Surviving in addition to his mother are wife, June Byrd Rhodes of 41 years; son, Haywood Rhodes and wife, Virginia of Hillsborough, NC; daughter, Cindy R. Wilkins and husband, Justin of Jacksonville, Florida; four grandchildren, Savannah Wilkins, Jonah Rhodes, Matthew Rhodes, and Micah Wilkins; brothers, Gerald Rhodes and wife, Nadine and Danny Rhodes and wife, JoAnn both of Four Oaks; several nieces and nephews.
The family will receive friends at Rose & Graham Funeral Home in Four Oaks from 6:00PM to 8:00PM Saturday and other times at the home.
