Uzelle Anna Ward, 97, passed away Sunday morning at Avante Nursing Home in Wilson.
Uzelle was born on September 8, 1921 in Johnston County to the late John Henry and Mary Elizabeth Hare Lamm. She was married to the late Robert Ward. Uzelle was a member of the Kenly Pentecostal Holiness Church.
The family will receive friends on Sunday, September 23, 2018 from 2:00 p.m. until 2:45 p.m. at Kenly Funeral Service followed by a graveside service at 3:00 p.m. in the Kenly Cemetery with the Rev. Danny Rollins officiating.
Uzelle is survived by her daughter, Annette Helms of Charlotte, grandson, Ted Hocutt of Sims; great grandchildren, Kaitlin Holt, Jessica Hocutt, Dominic Hocutt, and Mary Hocutt; and three great great grandchildren.
In addition to her parents and husband she was preceded in death by a son, Robert Glen Ward Jr.
