Viola Stallings Stroud Lamm, age 99, of Selma passed away on February 4, 2018. Born in Johnston County on April 15, 1918, she was the daughter of the late Foster and Eveline Stallings Stroud. Her husband was the late Percy Lee Lamm who passed away in 1989. She was also preceded in death by her son, Dickie Lamm and her daughter Delores Lamm Bonham. Mrs. Lamm worked for the Salvation Army Church for 50 years. She was a very Godly woman who loved her family dearly.
A graveside service will be held on Tuesday, Feb. 6, at 2:00 PM in Selma Memorial Gardens with Rev. Keith DeBord officiating. The family will receive friends immediately following the service and at other times at the home of Theresa Gibble, 219 Edgebrook Drive, Pikeville, NC 27863.
Surviving are her daughter, Theresa Gibble and husband Phillip of Pikeville; four grandchildren, ten great grandchildren, one great great grandchild, two step grandchildren and one step great grandchild.
