Coats, NC: Mrs. Virginia Ann Pollard, age 71, passed away on Saturday, January 9, 2021 at Duke Raleigh Hospital in Raleigh. Graveside Funeral Service will be 2:00PM-Wednesday, January 13, 2021 at Bethel Primitive Baptist Church Cemetery, Angier, NC. Revs. Chuck Jones and Al Warrick will officiate.
Mrs. Pollard was born on April 7, 1949 in Harnett County to the late Malcolm and Nellie Langdon Hall. She was preceded in death by a daughter, Christy Lane Pollard and her first husband, Hugh D. Autry. Mrs. Pollard retired as a sales clerk with Food Lion and Carlie C’s IGA Grocery Stores. She was a member of Coats Community Church.
Surviving include her husband of 46 years, Kenneth W. Pollard; children, Hugh D. Autry, II, and wife, Sarah and Brandy Leigh Champion and husband, Bobby, grandchildren, Carleigh Champion, Macy Champion, Nate Champion and Hatcher Autry, brother, James E. Hall and a sister, Mikie Flaherty, special dog, Willie and several nieces and nephews.
Mrs. Pollard will be available for viewing and you may sign the register book from 12:00PM-5:00PM, Tuesday, January 12, 2021 at Rose & Graham Funeral Home in Coats. The family will not be present during these times. The family will receive friends following the graveside service.
Flowers are welcomed, however, memorials may be sent to Coats Community Church.
In accordance with NC-COVID-19 guidelines, the funeral home suggests practicing social distancing guidelines and the three W’s: wait, wash, and wear a face covering.
