Four Oaks, NC: Mrs. Vivian S. Mitchell, age 77, of 621 Peach Orchard Road died Monday at the SECU Hospice House in Smithfield. Funeral services will be at 2:00PM Thursday at Stewart’s Chapel Pentecostal Free Will Baptist Church, Four Oaks. Officiating will be Revs. Freddy Langston, Jessie Brock, Curtis Pierce, and Sherwood Lassiter. Burial will follow in Hills of the Neuse Memory Gardens, Smithfield.
Mrs. Mitchell was born in Berkeley County, South Carolina on June 24, 1940 to the late Ed and Norma Rhodes Knight. She is preceded in death by her husband, Jesse Mitchell, and daughter, Marsha Lee Mitchell. She was a homemaker and was a member of Stewart’s Chapel Pentecostal Free Will Baptist Church.
Surviving are her children and spouses, Andy Mitchell and wife, Janice, William Mitchell and wife Dena, Kenneth Mitchell, Elizabeth “Cissy” Wadsworth all of Four Oaks; five grandchildren, DeWayne Mitchell of Four Oaks, Jessica W. Adams and husband, Josh of Newton Grove, Megan Wadsworth, Courtney Mitchell, Hannah Mitchell all of Four Oaks; twelve great-grandchildren; sisters, Lillian Talton of Four Oaks, Beatrice Palazzi of Little River, SC; brothers, Larry Rhodes and wife, Barbara of Four Oaks, Jimmy Knight and wife, Ramona of Four Oaks, Mike Knight and wife, Edna of Louisburg, Woody Knight and wife, Melinda of Newton Grove; several nieces and nephews.
The family will receive friends Wednesday from 6:00PM – 8:00PM at Rose & Graham Funeral Home, Four Oaks and other times at the home.
