Fayetteville, NC Ret. SMSGT. Wade Bruce Massengill, age 85, Fayetteville, NC, died Friday, June 14, 2019. Graveside services will be held at Stone’s Creek Advent Christian Church Cemetery on Saturday, June 22, 2019 at 2:00 PM. Rev. Doug Abel will officiate.
Mr. Massengill was born April 26, 1934 in Johnston County, NC to the late Rev. Wade Rufus and Bessie Munden Massengill. He was preceded in death by his siblings, Ann Massengill and Charles Massengill.
Surviving includes his wife of 37 years, Lois Gallagher Massengill; children, Heidi Barber of CA, Robin Blaine and husband, Johnny of NY, and Garry Massengill and wife, Mary of NY; 4 grandchildren; 6 great-grandchildren; and sister, Nancy Patterson of NC.
In lieu of flowers memorial may be made to Benson Area Ministerial Association, c/o Benson United Methodist Church, P.O. Box 72, Benson, NC 27504 and make check to BAMA.
