Walter Gaston Lassiter, Jr., age 63, of Four Oaks, passed away at his home on May 6. 2018. Born in Johnston County on February 27, 1955, he was the son of the late Walter Gaston and Sallie Merritt Lassiter. He was also preceded in death by a son, Joshua Talton Lassiter.
Walt was a 1973 graduate of Smithfield-Selma Senior High School and a 1977 graduate of Campbell University. He had a successful sales career in the electrical industry for over 30 years. He was a member and former Deacon at First Presbyterian Church in Smithfield. He was also a former member of the Smithfield Jaycees and was a member of CCA.
The family will receive friends at Parrish Funeral Home in Selma Tuesday night from 5 to 7 PM. A memorial service will be held on Wednesday at 3:00 PM in First Presbyterian Church in Smithfield.
Mr. Lassiter is survived by his wife, Janet Johnson Lassiter and his son, Tres Lassiter of Smithfield.
