Walter Gideon Martin, 94 of Princeton went to be with his Lord and Savior, Saturday, December 28, 2019 at Providence Assisted Living of Smithfield. He was born in Johnston County, May 27, 1925 and was the son of the late Jacob Arthur and Addie Holt Martin. Mr. Martin was predeceased by his wife Lorraine Thompson Martin. He was also preceded in death by a sons, Walter Gerald Martin and Jacob Dwight Martin and a grandson, Jeffery Martin He was a member of the Lucama Church of God. Mr. Martin served his country during WWII by serving in the Navy.
The Funeral Service will be conducted 7:00 pm Monday, December 30th at the Casey Funeral Home & Cremations Chapel with Reverend Dennis Pollock officiating. The Committal Service will be held 10:00 am Tuesday, December 31st in the Princeton Cemetery. The family will be receiving friends Monday evening from 5:30pm until 7:00pm at Casey Funeral Home & Cremations.
He is survived by son, Wade Martin of Smithfield; daughter-in-law, Sue Pilkington Martin of Princeton; two grandsons, Robert Heller and Rodney Martin (Lisa); four grandchildren, Josh, Aaron, Hailey and Colton; one great grandson, Grayson Thomas Heller.
