Wilbert Vick Brannan, age 97, of Selma passed away on December 6, 2018 at the SECU Hospice House. Born in Johnston County on September 8, 1921, he was the son of the late Nick and Ruby Griswold Brannan. Mr. Brannan was preceded in death by his wife, Frances Benson Brannan and his daughter Connie Jackson. He served in the US Army during World War II and was a member of Selma Masonic Lodge # 320 and the Selma VFW.
A graveside service will be held Saturday, December 8 at 11:00 AM in Selma Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends at the cemetery immediately following the service.
Surviving are his son, Ronnie Brannan of Selma; daughter Vickie Richardson and husband George of Selma; son-in-law Neil Jackson of Mt. Olive; grandchildren, Ronnie Brannan II, Wanda Howell, Lee Jackson and Chris Jackson; and great grandchildren, Harrison and Reagan Howell and Lillie Katherine Carter.
