Wilbur P. Honeycutt, 77, passed away Sunday, August 19, 2018 at Transitions LifeCare Hospice Home in Raleigh. He was born October 26, 1940 in Bailey, NC to the late Allen L. and Ruby Phillips Honeycutt. He graduated from Selma High School and attended Hardbarger Business College after serving our country in the United States Air Force. He went on to work for Atlas Supply Company which later became Moore Supply Company which was then purchased by Murray Supply Company where he served as branch manager.
Surviving: wife of 56 years, Charlotte Cox Honeycutt; children: Lisa Corbett and husband, Johnny of Clayton, NC; and Rose Hocutt and husband, Victor of Four Oaks, NC; 2 grandchildren, Mallory Hocutt and Candace Weber; 2 step-grandchildren; 7 great-grandchildren; brothers, Danny (Sandra) and Bill (Jo Ann); sister, Phyllis Creech; sisters-in-law, Marie and Pat; brother-in-law, David Norris.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brothers, Lewis and Gene; sister, Peggy Norris.
A memorial service will be conducted at 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday, August 22, 2018 at Horne Memorial United Methodist Church, 121 Second St. Clayton, NC.
The family will receive relatives and friends immediately following the service in the fellowship hall.
