Selma – William Houston “Bill” West, III, age 62, died Sunday, April 26, 2020 in Duke Hospital in Durham. Born November 26, 1957 in Wayne County he was a son of Shirley Greene West of Goldsboro and the late William Houston West, Jr. He was preceded in death by his paternal grandparents, Houston and Lotha West; maternal grandparents, Raymond and Eva Greene; and father & mother-in-law, Clayton and Barbara Blackburn. Bill was a member of Ignite Bible Fellowship in Pine Level. He worked for Air Flow Products for over 10 years as a truck driver.
A private memorial service will be held on Friday.
Surviving in addition to his mother are his wife of 25 years, Jean West; daughter, Barbara W. Masters of Selma; brother, Ricky West of Goldsboro; sister, Christie Ivey and husband Robert of Mt. Olive; grandchildren, Brianna Baker of Nashville, William Clayton Baker of Selma, Lucas Laymen, Cameron Allen, Mariyah Allen, Bethany Allen, and Braelyn Allen, all of Four Oaks; nieces, Ashley Anderson and husband Charlie and their children, Ivey, Eva, and Ashley Kate of Mt. Olive, and Allison West and fiancé, Gunner Tyndall of La Grange; nephews, Cody Ivey and wife Savannah and their son, Beau of Mt. Olive, and Neal West of Goldsboro; and all his fellow truck driver friends that he loved so dearly.]
