Benson: Mr. William Clayton “Clay” Richardson, age 66, of 221 Patterdale Place died Thursday at Rex Healthcare in Raleigh. A funeral service will be 3:00 PM Monday at Grace Community Assembly of God Church 923 Booker Dairy Road, Smithfield, NC 27577. Rev. Jim Kelly will officiate.
Mr. Richardson was born February 9, 1951 in Prince George’s County, Maryland to the late Marshall William and Mary Margaret Windsor Richardson. Mr. Richardson was a retired Plumber in Capital Hill. He was a member of Grace Community Assembly of God Church in Smithfield, NC.
Surviving include his wife of 46 years, Rosalie Noehl Richardson; children and spouses, William Anthony “Tony” and Maia Richardson of Holly Springs; Crissy Lynn and Jim Rackey of Port Republic, Maryland; grandchildren, William Keyan Richardson, and Shaniqua Liston; sisters, Linda Zepp of Scottsdale, Arizona and Denise Buckler of Charlotte Hall, Maryland; granddog, Buddy; many nieces and nephews.
The family will receive friends 1:30 PM -2:45 PM Monday prior to the funeral service at Grace Community Assembly of God Church in Smithfield, NC.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Rosalie Richardson, 221 Patterdale Place, Benson, NC 27504 and the family will decide how best to honor “Clay” at a later date.
