Zilphia Elizabeth Brady Rogers went home to be with her Heavenly Father on January 6, 2018 in SECU Hospice House in Smithfield. Lizzie was a lady who loved God and her family. She was born on April 1, 1929 near Pine Level. Her parents were James Millard and Ella Thompson Brady of Pine Level. Lizzie and her husband Robert Lee were faithful members of Bizzell Grove Pentecostal Holiness Church. After his death she moved to Autumn Care Home for 11 ½ years and then in September she moved to Smithfield Manor Nursing Home.
Lizzie is survived by her daughter Kathy Wiggs and husband Ken of Princeton; her son Glenn Rogers and wife Peggy of LaGrange; her daughter-in-law Carol Rogers of Selma; five grandchildren and several great grandchildren and step grandchildren. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews and by a sister Ella Mae Hatcher of Selma. Lizzie was preceded in death by her husband Robert Lee, son Bobby Rogers, brother Lester Brady and sisters Martha Thompson, Mary Eliza Parrish and Catherine Thomas.
Funeral services will be held on Tuesday at 7:00 PM in the chapel of Parrish Funeral Home in Selma. Burial will be in the Bizzell Grove Memorial Gardens on Wednesday at 11:00 AM. The family will receive friends at the funeral home Tuesday from 6 to 7 PM and at other times at the home of Carol Rogers, 135 Woodside Dr., Selma, NC.
