Columbia, SC  – Palmetto Shirt Co. reached the initial $10,000 goal for the “One Carolina” shirt and made a donation Wednesday to Habitat for Humanity.  $5,000 for SC Habitat for Humanity and $5,000 for NC Habitat for Humanity will go to work immediately in affected areas.

“The support for the shirt has been great,” said Rusty Koss, owner of Palmetto Shirt Co.  “We surpassed the original $10,000 goal in 48 hours and now we’re aiming for $20,000 plus.”

Chad Charles, Executive Director for South Carolina Association of Habitat Affiliates, picked up the donations.  The funds will go to the areas in North and South Carolina that have been affected by the initial push of Hurricane Florence and the flooding left behind.

The shirts are available for purchase by individuals at palmettoshirtco.com.  Groups and corporations can place bulk orders to help as well.  Palmetto Shirt Co. will make the shirt available throughout the end of the month with all proceeds benefiting hurricane relief efforts.
