Over $8,000 In Property Taken During Kenly Break-In

A Johnston County homeowner had more than $8,000 in property stolen during a break-in.  It happened while the victim was away from his residence on Highway 222 about five miles west of Kenly.

The victim said between 7:00am and 4:00pm Thursday someone broke into a storage barn behind his residence and stolen Bosch, Ryobi, and DeWalt power tools, cash, and a 22 caliber gun.  Altogether the items were valued at $8,150.

The Johnston County Sheriff’s Office is investigating.
