FOUR OAKS – A two vehicle accident was reported around 3:00pm Tuesday in the 2000 block of Highway 96 South of Four Oaks. A passenger car was traveling northbound and a white pickup towing a trailer was traveling southbound. The trailer and car sideswiped in the roadway.
After the impact, the trailer disconnected from the pickup and came to rest across a ditch in the front yard of a home. The car came to rest in a ditch facing southbound.
No injuries were reported.
Traffic was reduced to one lane until the accident could be cleared.
The State Highway Patrol, Four Oaks Fire Department, and Johnston County EMS responded.
