A passenger in a pickup truck was seriously injured in a two vehicle crash Saturday near Four Oaks. The accident was reported at 11:18am at the intersection of Raleigh Road and Elevation Road.
The Highway Patrol said a white Hyundai SUV driven by Joseph Hemingway of Four Oaks failed to stop for a stop sign at the rural intersection. 
The SUV struck a white GMC pickup operated by Mary Rodriguez causing the truck to overturn.
Mrs. Rodriguez sustained minor injuries however her husband, Jose Rodriguez, a front seat passenger, sustained serious injuries and was rushed to Wake Medical Center.
Hemingway and his wife, Karen, a passenger in the Hyundai were not injured.
Trooper N.A. Hocutt with the NC Highway Patrol is still investigating the crash. The Elevation, Benson and Four Oaks Fire Departments responded to the scene along with Johnston County EMS. Photos by John Payne
