Selma Cyclepaths Ride For Multiple Sclerosis During Railroad Days
SELMA – In the 1990s, Selma Cyclepath team members started riding together to raise awareness and funding for the National Multiple Sclerosis Society. Over the life of the team, they have raised more than $2 million for MS research.
The Cyclepaths sponsor weekly training rides from Selma’s Thanksgiving Elementary School leading up to a major two-day fundraising event in New Bern each September. With the support of the Town of Selma, the Cyclepath’s invite you to come ride with the team on Saturday,
October 5th as part of the 49th Annual Selma Railroad Days Festival.
Where: The ride will start and finish at Selma Baptist Church, located at 1500 N. Webb Street. Parking will be available.
When: Arrive at 7:30 AM. There will be a rider safety briefing at 7:45 AM and the ride will begin at 8:00 AM.
Ride Distance: There will be three options (10, 26 and 47 miles).
Route cue sheets (paper and electronic) will be provided, as well as SAG support and a rest stop with water and snacks. The 10-mile ride will be ideal for families.
