Pedestrian Injured After Being Struck By SUV

SELMA, N.C. — A pedestrian was injured after being struck by a vehicle Tuesday evening in Selma.

The accident occurred shortly after 6:00 p.m. in the 1200 block of East Lizzie Street near Spindale Street.

Selma Police, Selma Fire Department and Johnston County EMS responded to the scene.

The pedestrian was transported to a hospital with injuries that appeared to be non-life threatening.

The driver of the SUV involved in the collision stopped and remained at the scene.

Additional details about the circumstances leading up to the accident were not immediately available.

Selma Police are continuing their investigation into the incident.
