Pedestrian Sustains Minor Injuries After Being Struck By Car
SMITHFIELD – A pedestrian was struck by a car while walking on Outlet Center Drive. The collision was reported at 9:33 a.m. Tuesday, June 17.
Smithfield Police said a Selma woman was walking northbound in the center turn lane when a southbound car struck the pedestrian with the driver side mirror.
The pedestrian had minor cuts to her left arm and leg. She refused transport to the hospital.
The driver of the car said he did not see the pedestrian in the roadway.
Smithfield Police investigated the accident. No charges were filed.
