SMITHFIELD – Police are investigating after someone fired a pellet gun at two people. It happened around 6:13pm Monday in the parking lot of the GT Mart convenience store, on Market Street at Wilson’s Mills Road, in West Smithfield.
The two victims narrowly avoided being struck and were not injured. However, one of the pellets shattered the window of a Toyota passenger car parked nearby, causing approximately $300 in damage.
Investigators are following up on leads in the case.
