SELMA – One person was shot at a birthday party in Selma. The shooting happened early Sunday morning at the Richard B. Harrison Alumni Association building on S. Brevard Street.
Selma Police said an adult with shot in the arm during a domestic-related dispute. He was transported to the hospital with non-life threatening injuries.
Police identified a suspect and obtained a warrant for their arrest.
In a press release, the Town of Selma said the shooting happened at the Richard B. Harrison Alumni Association building, which is privately owned. While it is in close proximity to the Richard B. Harrison Gymnasium, the alumni association building, activities, events and rentals have no affiliation to the Town of Selma or the gymnasium.

Wow, a weekend for shootings. All these things that lead to shootings is stupid. People, guns are for self-defense and not to shoot someone over an argument. I hope they serve a long jail time.
