A Smithfield home caught fire and burned Saturday morning. The fire was reported at 212 Turlington Street.
Smithfield and Four Oaks fire crews responded to the scene and brought the blaze under control within 20 minutes.
No one was at home at the time of the fire, according to Johnston County Fire Marshal Adam Stanley. Officials ruled the fire as an accident. It started in the kitchen area.
