Pharmacy Shoplifting Cases Likely Connected

Two CVS Pharmacy locations in Johnston County reportedly a large quantity of merchandise was taken hours apart on Sunday.  Authorities think they are probably connected.

Around 5:00PM Sunday, the two suspects entered the CVS on Highway 210 at McGee’s Crossroads and left a short time later without paying for $2,553 in merchandise including large quantities of Claritin allergy medication, Allegra, Crest white strips, hair clippers, razors, diapers and over-the-counter digestive medicine.

Around 7:30pm, the same suspects are believed to have shoplifted $233 in items from the CVS on Highway 42 in Cleveland. The suspects stole Claritin, Zantac, Tylenol, and Flonase nasal spray.

The suspects were described as a heavy set white male and heavy set black male operating an unknown color Nissan Altima.
