A motorcyclist was seriously injured in a crash Friday night in eastern Johnston County.
The Highway Patrol said the crash occurred at 8:14pm on US 70 at Howell Road near Princeton.
A motorcycle was traveling eastbound on US 70 and being operated by Kyle Turner Hamilton of LaGrange. A Ford pickup truck being operated by John Brinchek III of Selma was traveling north of Howell Road and failed to yield at the stop sign at US 70.
The motorcycle ran into the side of the pickup causing Hamilton to be ejected from his bike. He was transported to Wake Medical Center for treatment of serious injuries including broken bones.
Brinchek and one passenger in the pickup were checked out at the scene by EMS personnel but were not transported. Photos by John Payne
